World class test pilot Goran Krneta and Serbian American businessman Živorad Tomić, himself a pilot, met each other in the summer of 2012. One has the pilot skills only few in the world could match. The other is business savvy and has great passion for flying. Out of that friendship, the idea to incorporate Balkan Helicopters was born.
Recognizing the fact that there was no private companies in Serbia offering helicopter flight services, the two set out to achieve what looked like an impossible task at the time. In a very short time company managed to open up a Robinson Helicopter Co. approved service center, obtain AWC (Aerial Work Certificate) and CAMO (Continuing Airworthiness Management Organization). Along with Helimaster flight school under its roof, the company is today in a position to fulfill almost all helicopter needs one could have.
With two Robinson R44’s and two Robinson R66 in its fleet, Balkan Helicopters is today a regional leader in all around helicopter services. The main company goal is to remain a premier facility that continues to offer the best services in the industry for years to come.
