World Helicopter Day 2018

After a successful 2017 event, „Balkan Helicopters“, is organizing another celebration of World Helicopter Day at Dobanovci heliport on August 19, 2018. Balkan Helicopters is the top and most experienced helicopter sightseeing and charter service provider in the region.

World Helicopter Day is a global event when the world comes together to celebrate helicopters and their contribution to our society, such as their use in rescue missions, aerial fire fighting, medical transport, passenger transport, etc. This is the day when we celebrate these amazing machines, their history, people who invented and improved them, pilots, passengers and all fans of flying.

By organizing an event on World Helicopter Day, Balkan Helicopters will join various helicopter organizations and enthusiasts across the globe in celebration of the day. We will open the doors of our hangars and present our work to public.

Serbia is the country with most helicopters and licensed helicopter pilots in the region, as well as some of the most experienced fixed wind pilots. Balkan Helicopters is an operator with the greatest capability of air transport in the region. It is also a sister company of Helimaster, the only flight school for helicopter pilots in this part of Europe. Considering all of the above, we would like to invite operators as well as owners of the private helicopters to take part in the air show during the celebration.

Besides operators and private helicopter owners from Serbia and the region, Serbian state agencies such as Ministry of Defense and Ministry of Internal Affairs- Helicopter Unit and Mountain Rescue Squad are expected to participate in the air show.

Over 400 people visited us for the celebration of World Helicopter Day in 2017. This year, we are expecting over 600 visitors.
